On Sunday (September 28), Micah Parsons returns to the Dallas Cowboys base for the first time since getting traded to the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys are starting as underdogs in this fixture.
Defeating the New York Giants seemed like a turning point for the Cowboys after the opening day defeat to the reigning world champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. However, a shocking defeat at the hands of the Chicago Bears brought the Cowboys back down to earth.
Green Bay began the Micah Parsons era with back-to-back home wins against the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders. Week three away tie against the winless Cleveland Browns seemed a foregone conclusion, but the AFC side pulled off a 10-13 upset, ending the Packers’ spotless record.
Week four will witness the duel of these two teams in Dallas, where the Cowboys don’t have a good record against the NFC North side. The Packers haven’t lost to the Cowboys since 2016, and at Arlington since 2007.

Why can the Cowboys win?
The Cowboys’ best player is their quarterback, Dak Prescott. Despite a shortened 2024 due to a leg injury, many predicted the veteran shot caller to take a step back, but they have been proven wrong.
Even though the Cowboys are 1-2, Prescott has thrown 90 completions of 126 pass attempts (71.4%) for 800 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions.
With CeeDee Lamb out for the next few weeks, George Pickens could see his numbers skyrocket on Sunday. So far, Pickens has caught 13 passes for 166 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. Running back Javonte Williams has been the surprise package in the run game. Williams ranks 8th among running backs with 227 rushing yards (5.3 yards per carry) and 3 touchdowns.
