A long wait of 18 years came to an end for Tabish Khan in Harare as he made his Test debut for Pakistan. Debuting in the second Test against Zimbabwe, Tabish made immediate impact as he scalped his maiden wicket in his first over. The right arm quick had 598 wickets in first class cricket before taking his maiden international wicket.

The right-arm pacer bowled the second over of Zimbabwe’s innings. After bowling five dot balls, he trapped Zimbabwe opener Tarisai Musakanda plumb in front of his stumps to dismiss him for a duck. Prior to the game, his teammate Azhar Ali was all praises for the domestic veteran. Ali asserted that one has to salute Tabish’s never give up attitude and that is what has brought him such success over the years.

We need to give credit to Tabish Khan as he has set an example for us with his never give up attitude. He has always worked towards representing Pakistan & has worked hard and kept on performing,” Ali had said.
