When was Kevin Durant drafted?

Kevin Durant spent the 2006-07 NCAA Basketball season playing for the University of Texas. He put together a sensational year in his only year in college, averaging 25.8 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game for the Texas Longhorns, and won the National Player of the Year award, the John R. Wooden Award, and the Naismith College Player of the Year award. He declared for the 2007 NBA Draft and was a consensus lottery pick. Durant was drafted second overall by the Seattle Supersonics (now called the Oklahoma City Thunder) and spent nine seasons with the franchise before a three-year stint with the Golden State Warriors.

How Many NBA titles has Kevin Durant won?

Kevin Durant made his first NBA Finals appearance in 2012 with the Oklahoma City Thunder. They were beaten 4-1 by the LeBron James-led Miami Heat. He got his revenge on James after joining the Warriors in 2016. Durant reached the NBA Finals in his debut season with the franchise and beat James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1. He was named the Finals MVP. The following year, Durant and the Warriors met James and the Cavaliers again in the NBA Finals. This time, their victory was more emphatic, as they swept the Cavaliers 4-0. Durant won his second Finals MVP. In his final season with the Warriors, they reached the NBA Finals again. But Durant suffered an Achilles tear in Game 5 and the Warriors lost in six games to the Raptors. He left the franchise to join the Brooklyn Nets, where he spent four and a half years, before being traded to the Phoenix Suns.
