Teachers’ Day 2020: Let’s look at the athletes’ wishes for their mentors

September 5 is observed as the Teacher’s Day all across the nation. Teachers, coaches, mentors, and gurus play a very crucial role in everybody’s success in all fields of life. This day is important to celebrate the efforts of teachers around the country. Let’s look at some of the top athletes of the nation who wished their teachers and coaches on this auspicious day.
Here are the top wishes:
Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli remembered his memories with childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma. Kohli wrote, “A teacher gives you many valuable lessons in your journey. Forever grateful for the ones I got from my coach Mr Rajkumar Sharma. Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers who’ve guided their students in their journeys.”
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also remebered his three mentors in life: his father, his coach Achrekar sir, and brother Ajit Tendulkar.
“COVID19 has shut schools, yet teachers have gone online to continue teaching. Always inspiring! Forever grateful to them for shaping us into better human beings and helping us progress. #HappyTeachersDay to all & my 3 special teachers, my father, Achrekar sir & my brother Ajit.”
Other cricketing greats like Ishant Sharma, Virender Sehwag, and Gautam Gambhir also thanked the efforts of all the teachers in their lives.
Ace kabaddi player and recent Arjuna Awardee Deepak Niwas Hooda also shared a quote of Dr Sarvepalli Dadhakrishnan, who is the reason behind celebrating this special day.

Some Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises also posted special messages on this auspicious day.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also thanked all the current coaches of the side. They shared the pictures of head coach Ravi Shastri, batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Bharath Arun and fielding coach Ramakrishnan Sridhar.
