Tencent announces PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 (PMGC) with 6 Million USD prize pool

Esports for any game has always been a huge part and PUBG Mobile is no exception. The game has been a tremendous success both in terms of popularity and revenue. Moreover, the game’s esports cannot be described in words, it has brought several countries into the light where esports is not considered seriously. The game has not stopped in proving it, again and again, several tournaments are announced with massive prize pools each year.
The recent tournament event is PUBG Mobile World Invitational has been concluded after four days of impeccable gameplay from 32 teams around the world. In giving the closing credits for PMWI, James Yang, Director of PUBG Mobile Esports has announced the biggest event in PUBG mobile Esports! The director announces PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 and he shares the overall format of the tournament.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 will take place in two phases, namely League stages and Finals. The league stage will take place in November 2021, whereas the finals are scheduled to take place in January 2022. Thus, the tournament spawns three months with finals being concluded in 2022.

PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021
Every PMPL will send the best team directly to the PMGC 2021 based on the Total points of two seasons. The two seasons includes PMPL League stages and Finals. Additionally, PMPL Regional finals such as Southeast Asia and PMPL EMEA will send the best team who performed well to PMGC 2021. That being said, teams who could not take part in PMPL will also stand a chance to qualify for the league with their respective regional finals.

Prize Pool
Speaking of its prize pool, The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 comes with a whopping prize pool of 6 Million. The director also claims that this prize pool is the biggest prize pool ever for a single event in PUBG mobile esports history. The prize pool is even bigger than their last year’s prize pool.

The qualifiers of PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) Fall Split 2021 will kick start from tomorrow i.e., July 26. The Fall Split of the PMCO has a total prize pool of $700,000. The players are instructed to download an anti-cheating application called GAC before competing. With Qualifiers being concluded on August 1, the group stages and finals will take place in August and September 2021.
The director has not mentioned teams for India or Indian regional finals. But there are several reports such memphize esports on IG suggests that Indian teams would also qualify alike other regions i.e., via regional finals.
