Roberto Bautista Agut vs John Millman : Preview
Roberto Bautista Agut will be making his 10th appearance at the Wimbledon this year. Agut was the semi-finalist at the 2019 Wimbledon where he lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic who defended his title for a 2nd consecutive time winning his 5th Wimbledon title. The semi-final run remains Roberto’s best result at Wimbledon.
Agut comes from a first round defeat in his debut Grass tournament of the season at the ATP Halle Open 2021. He later played at the inaugural ATP Mallorca Open 2021 where he was knocked out in the 2nd round.
John Millman will play in his 8th Wimbledon tournament this season when he takes the court against Agut. He was defeated in the 3rd round of the 2019 Wimbledon which remains his best result along with his 3rd round appearance at the 2016 Wimbledon.
Millman comes to Wimbledon from consecutive 2nd round defeats at the Queen’s Club 2021 and later at the ATP Eastbourne 2021 which remain his only tournament appearances on Grass this season.
Roberto Bautista Agut vs John Millman : Head to Head
This will be the 6th meeting between the duo and the first on Grass. They last met at the 2019 Monte Carlo Masters where like the previous 4 occasions, Agut was the winner and leads the head-to-head tie 5-0.
Roberto Bautista Agut vs John Millman : Prediction
Millman will come into the tie with a career Grass record of 31-27 and an overall season record of 10-14. He was 1-4 on Hardcourts, 7-6 on Clay and 0-2 at indoor Hardcourts before he began his Grass campaign for the season.
Agut will be the favourite for this clash as he comes in with a career Grass record of 38-20 and a season record of 20-15. Agut has been a great Grass player and with his semi-final run at the last Wimbledon, he will look to start from where he left.
