Naomi Osaka has entered the Australian Open 2022, as the defending champion and one of the top favorites. However, she is seeded 13th this time around, and her lack of playing time in last 6 months has surely raised a few eyebrows.

However, all doubts were put to rest, as she stormed past Camila Osorio in the first round in Melbourne on Monday. In her second round clash against Madison Brengle, Osaka has launched an unrelenting attack on the American in the first set.

After seeing Naomi Osaka’s incredible performance in the first set, Andy Murray could not hold himself and praise the Japanese for her powerful and clean hitting. “Anyone hit the ball cleaner from the baseline than Naomi Osaka?,” Murray tweeted.

Andy Murray has started the year on an exceptional note, as he reached the finals in Sydney last week. In the first round of Australian Open 2022, the three time major champion defeated 21st seed, Nikoloz Basilashvili in five sets. Next up, he faces the Japanese, Taro Daniel in the second round, which will be an interesting watch.
