World No.1 player Ash Barty and Grand Slam winner Dylan Alcott are two of the best tennis players in the world. Their contribution to the world of tennis is commendable.
Ash was also named as the ITF World Champion along with World No.1, Novak Djokovic. While Dylan won all the four wheelchair Grand Slam singles titles this year. The player has fifteen Grand Slam titles to his name.
Alcott is the only man to complete the Golden Slam in quad singles, winning all four majors and the Paralympics in 2021. Ash on the other hand has thirteen singles titles to her name. Recently both the players have been honored with the Newcombe Medal for their contribution towards their country.
The Newcombe Medal celebrates and recognises the performances, achievements, and contributions made by players of the Australian tennis family each year. These awards are presented annually at an event in the last months of the year.
