Alexander Zverev has been flawless this week in Melbourne. Coming off a couple of victories at the ATP Cup, Zverev won his first round match comfortably against fellow countryman Daniel Altmaier. He then blasted past Australian John Millman in the second round before getting the better of qualifier Radu Albot in the third round in straight sets 6-3,6-4,6-4 on John Cain Arena. He is yet to drop a set and has been one of the best in the tournament so far.

In Melbourne this week, he defeated Laslo Djere in the first round before edging past Soonwoo Kwon in a five set thriller. Alexander Zverev vs Denis Shapovalov: Head-to-Head
This will be the seventh meeting between the duo. Zverev leads the H2H 4-2. They last met at the ATP Cup last year where Zverev won in three sets.
Alexander Zverev vs Denis Shapovalov: Prediction
Zverev is one of the heaviest favorite to win the title this year. And he has delivered so far as promised. He hasn’t been tested much yet but given his recent form, he will expect an easy outing against Shapovalov. But the Canadian won’t make life easier for Zverev. He hasn’t been in the best form but with the weird angles he creates on his shots- he could beat anyone on the given day. Expect a tight match with both players testing each others to the limit- and Zverev eventually coming out as the victor.
Prediction: Zverev to win in 4 sets.
