Aryna Sabalenka
Aryna Sabalenka

Aryna will come into the tie with a career hardcourt record of 136-63 and was 24-11 on the surface last season while finishing the 2021 season with a record of 45-18 across all surfaces. Kaia will take the court with a career hardcourt record of 169-122 and was 16-8 on the surface last season and had a 23-14 record for the season across all surfaces.

Looking at these numbers and considering their form in the 2021 and the little of the 2022 season, it will be an interesting tie given Kanepi has been performing way better than what was expected and Sabalenka has had to fight her way back in the tie. Sabalenka will however remain the favourite for the tie.

Prediction: Aryna Sabalenka to win in 3-sets.
