Daniil Medvedev is the top seed at the Australian Open 2022 and is the favorite to win the Major this year. Medvedev was the runner-up last year and will be looking to go one step further and win the title that he was denied last year by none other than Novak Djokovic, who is not playing this year.

In his first-round match, Medvedev faced Swiss Henri Laaksonen and won the game in straight sets 6-1, 6-4, 7-6(3). Medvedev will be facing Nick Kyrgios in his second-round match on Thursday.

He did underarm serves from between his legs and lifted up the crowd because of his exciting style of play. Kyrgios will be facing Daniil Medvedev in round two and it won’t be an easy match considering Medvedev’s stature. However, one thing we could expect from that match is 100% entertainment.

A comfortable win for Stefano Tsitsipas

Tsitsipas in his second-round match will be facing the Argentine player Sebastian Baez on Thursday.
