After his Australian Open fiasco, Novak Djokovic is set to make his much-anticipated comeback at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships next week. The tour of the United Arab Emirates will take place on February 21-27. The Serb has officially received permission to take part in the tournament despite being unvaccinated.

As the much-anticipated return draws close, all tickets regarding the World No 1’s match have reportedly already been sold out. Nole’s fans, who wanted to see the Serb in action in Melbourne but were disappointed by the outcome, and thus are now determined to create a dreamlike atmosphere for their favorite in the United Arab Emirates.

The Serbian enjoys a huge and loyal fanbase which he has developed over years, who love him and are passionate in their support of him. Even during the Australian scandal when all the tennis world and even the rest of the world were doubling down upon the 34-year-old, Djoker’s fans had his back and defended him vehemently even at the toughest of times.

Not just the fans, but even the tennis world too is excited about Djokovic’s return. Fabio Fognini had recently in an interview revealed about having a very painful private conversation with him after the scandal and had wished that he would return on the court again soon. Dubai’s 500-point tournament director Salah Talak was also delighted that the Serb will play in the competition for the first time in 2022.

“I think it’s great that Novak is back. I know the whole thing the world was against him, but at the end of the day, he is the number 1 and champion of Dubai,” said Talak.
