Board Member of the controversial PTPA tells Roger Federer to bow to “True Legend” Novak Djokovic

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic
Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) is a player led organisation formed by Novak Djokovic along with Canadian player Vasek Pospisil that represents the Top-500 ranked Singles players and the Top-200 ranked Doubles players.
The PTPA has often found itself surrounded by controversy since it’s a break away organisation formed by Djokovic and Pospisil who were also the part of the Association of Tennis Professionals Players Council, the ATP led body that acts in the interests of the players. The formation of PTPA itself was highly critiqued by ATP Chief Andrea Gaudenzi who found this move very revolting.
Dr. Katarina Pijetlovic became the recent PTPA member to be involved in the latest controversy after her old tweets resurfaced she made after the semi-finals of the 2020 Australian Open when Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer in straight-sets.
Her tweet read, “Did you hear that, Federer, you punk! You are playing a guy that beat the c— out of you 27 times and whom you haven’t beaten at a Grand Slam since 2008. Bow to the true legend!”
Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer haven’t met since their 2020 Australian Open semi-finals

Dr. Katarina Pijetlovic is one of the five Advisory Board members of the PTPA and is a big Djokovic fan which has been often expressed via her tweets and retweets of the Djokovic support group which is called ‘NoleFam‘. She is a reader in sports law at Manchester Law School who has published pages on various topics regarding sports laws.
Her tweet that has come out has again tainted the reputation of the PTPA which is often criticised for being a fan-board of the Serbian who has been one of the founding members. Pospisil was recently in a heated argument with Gaudenzi with Pospisil swearing at the umpire during his match at the 2021 Miami Masters shouting how Gaudenzi abused him in front of players before the tournament.
While this has certainly dampened Djokovic’s image with his ‘fans’ being disrespectful towards other players, the player himself has always maintained sportsmanship irrespective of the opponent.
He last met his fellow Big-3 member Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals of the French Open 2021 and met Roger Federer since their 2020 Australian Open semi-finals. He can however meet Federer if both the players reach the finals in what will be the repeat of the 2019 Wimbledon finals where Djokovic beat Federer to win his 5th Wimbledon title.
