The American has shown her true class and quality at the Italian Open 2021, this week. Coco Gauff has stormed into the quarterfinals in Rome, after three tough battles. The 17-year old scored her most impressive win against Aryna Sabalenka in the third round, as she defeated the seventh seed in straight sets. Sabalenka came into the tournament on the back of the Madrid Open 2021 title, and was in red-hot form.

Next up for Coco Gauff, is a clash against world number one, Ashleigh Barty in the quarterfinals. The Australian breezed past Veronika Kudermetova in straight sets in the third round, and has been impressive during the clay court season so far.

It will be great to see where my level is. I mean, she’s the number one player in the world. I have no pressure on me. I’m just going to go out there and see what I can do and try my best,said Gauff.

Coco Gauff will be riding high on confidence after her victory over Aryna Sabalenka in the third round. She played a perfect match, and outplayed the seventh seed in all departments of the game. Coco Gauff broke the Belarusian four times during the match, whereas, she was broken just once.

The American won 65% points on her second serve, which proved to be a vital factor in Gauff’s victory. On the other hand, Sabalenka’s second serve was put under tremendous pressure from the American, and she could win only 50% of her points on second serve.
