Novak Djokovic was pushed to the limits against the Italian, Lorenzo Musetti as he played out a grueling five set encounter on Monday. The Serbian lost the opening two sets in the tiebreaker, and was all set to be eliminated from the tournament. However, he won the next two sets in style, and progressed into the last eight, after Lorenzo Musetti withdrew in the last set. Djokovic has been in fine form in Paris, and has scored straight sets victories against Tennys Sandgren, Pablo Cuevas and Ricardas Berankis in the first three round matches.
Matteo Berrettini defeated Taro Daniel in four sets in the first round. In the second round, he defeated Federico Coria in a straight sets victory. It was another comfortable victory for the Italian in the third round, as he defeated S.Kwon in straight sets. The 25-year old received a bye in the fourth round, after Roger Federer decided to withdraw from the tournament. Berrettini has been in amazing form this clay court tournament, as he lifted the Serbia Open title, and finished as the runner up in Madrid.
