Emma Raducanu has become a name to reckon with in the world of tennis. The 18-year-old took the world by storm after she defeated several top-rated players, one after the other, and lifted the US Open 2021 title. Such was her domination that she did not drop a single set in the entire tournament.
Records tumbled, the pressure was on and it is very easy for an 18-year-old to be overwhelmed by the big stage. However, Raducanu, sporting a beautiful smile as she always does, took on her Leylah Fernandez in the summit clash and ended up scripting history.
‘Where I really want to be is on the tennis court’: Emma Raducanu
Emma Raducanu has been in the limelight for quite some time now. She has been spotted at various events and has become the favorite face of innumerable brands. However, it seems like the teenager is all set and ready to return back to where she belongs.
Raducanu has recently returned to practice as she has got a wildcard entry into the Indian Wells 2021 Open. Talking about coming back to the court, Raducanu recently said, “I got back on court a few days ago. I was feeling pretty good about myself and my game, and I am very excited to compete again.”
She went on to say that although she is excited about all the opportunities she is getting, she really wants to get back on the court. “All the opportunities I am getting have been very fun, but where I really want to be is on the tennis court, as I’m just thriving out there,” she added.
