‘Nice way to receive Emma, with a loss”- Fans troll Emma Raducanu as she attends Miami Heat vs Knicks game, calls her ‘overrated’
Emma Raducanu
Ever since Emma Raducanu shocked the world by winning the 2021 US Open having started as a qualifier ranked 150th in the world and won the Grand Slam without dropping a single set in the 10 matches she played, the Brit has been one of the most popular players on the Tour with every little detail being monitored about the superstar of the future.
While she has certainly gotten a taste of the glamour after her success and is bringing in new endorsements and brand deals for having quickly become one of the popular players, life on the Tour has not been well for the teenager who is playing just her first full season this year. Recently she met Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler at the Miami Open.
“Latte it is, Ms. Emma,” Butler said with a smile. “With oatmilk. Thanks,” requested the 2021 US Open champion in an exchange. Butler then shared with the 19-year-old that she is his daughter’s favorite tennis player. After presenting Raducanu with her fresh hot espresso-based beverage, he received an instant review. “He did very good. The coffee art was something,” she said.
Though content, Raducanu left room for improvement when judging the final product—little surprise given the mindset required to make it—and stay at—the top level as a world-class athlete. “Out of 10? Nine,” the Brit remarked.

Emma Raducanu was recently spotted courtside at an NBA game that included the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks. Raducanu was seen wearing a Miami Heat jersey and also shared a photograph with Heat player Jimmy Butler. c
The Miami Heat eventually lost the match, but Raducanu definitely stood out looking cool in a Miami Heat jersey. Forward Jimmy Butler hosted Emma Raducanu at his Big Face Coffee pop-up shop on the grounds of the Miami Open.
Raducanu’s poor form on the court continued after the teenager was defeated in three sets at the Miami Open by Katerina Siniakova. She faced a lot of criticism for her poor run, losing in the initial rounds of every tournament she played.
