Emma Raducanu’s story at the Wimbledon Championships 2021 has been nothing short of miraculous. Though, she got ousted in the fourth round withdrawing midway from the match against Ajla Tomaljanovic, the 18-year old won everybody’s hearts by becoming the youngest British woman in the Open Era to reach the Round of 16 of the Wimbledon.
Beginning her career on the WTA Tour just last month at the Birmingham Open, Raducanu should be extremely proud of what she has achieved this past week. Moreover, there are no questions whatsoever that the young lady is ready to rock the tennis world in a few years time.

Raducanu is still coming to terms about her run on the hallowed grass courts of Wimbledon. When asked about how much she enjoyed the Wimbledon experience, the 18-year old smiled and said, “I mean, I have had the best time of my life. This whole week has just been absolutely incredible. I have never found support like here. I am just so, so grateful for every single person who cheered me on during the matches and all of the messages that I have received by social media or messages. So, I would just like to thank absolutely everyone who got in touch and supported me in the last two weeks.”
Raducanu had just 2,000 followers on Instagram before the star of the Wimbledon. So when she was asked that after her historical performance how many followers have increased, Raducanu laughed and said, “I am not sure. It’s funny because my Instagram actually blocked me out. I think it thought I was a robot or something (laughs). So, we are trying to fix that right now.”
When further asked that before Wimbledon, in front of how many audience has Raducanu played, the Canada-born said, “I am not sure maybe a 100 people. To play on Court 1 infront of that many fans I am so grateful for the opportunity and I would like to thank the All England Club and the LTA for their support and believing in me and giving me the chance to be able to play infront of such a crown. It has been the best week of my life honestly.”
