ATP Halle 2021: Roger Federer vs Ilya Ivashka LIVE stream: When, Where, and How to Watch

Roger Federer and Ilya Ivashka

Fifth seed Roger Federer is all set to take on Ilya Ivashka in the first round of the Noventi Open in Halle. Ivashka performed well in the qualifying rounds in order to make his way to the round of 32. Federer on the other hand withdrew from the French Open 2021 before the fourth-round clash.

The World No. 8 looked in good touch in the first three rounds despite being stretched by Marin Cilic and Dominik Koepfer in the second and third rounds respectively. The Swiss tennis champion is being counted as one of the main contenders who are expected to lift the trophy.

Ilya Ivashka

Federer was good but certainly not at his best during the French Open. He was also out of action for quite some time before entering into the Roland Garros. It would be interesting to see how he performs on the grass court especially in the opening rounds when it can be a little tough to adjust.

Moreover, the winner of 20 Grand Slams has had a lot of injury issues lately. How the knee holds up after the first couple of games will give a clearer picture of how the champion athlete will perform in the tournament.

On the other hand, Ilya Ivashka would like to continue his winning momentum. The Belarusian tennis star defeated Tatsuma Ito and James Duckworth to make his way into the main draw. The World No. 90 is coming off a first-round defeat in the Stuttgart Open to Peter Gojowczyk and has a monumental challenge ahead of him in the name of Roger Federer.

Although it is true that Ilya Ivashka is very talented and he has dominated his opponents in the qualifiers, but facing Roger Federer would not be easy. He battled hard to enter the main draw in the Stuttgart Open but unfortunately got knocked out in the first round, and by the looks of it, he might face a similar fate in the ATP Halle 2021 as well.
