As for his opponent, westerly Jiri Vesely, he has been struggling with form all season. He couldn’t make it into the main draw at Monte Carlo and has been struggling in the Challenger events as well. He could only make it to the Round of 16 at Parma this week where he lost to 6th seed Tommy Paul in three sets.

Karen Khachanov vs Jiri Vesely: Prediction
Khachanov goes in as the favourite into the match and has recent form to back it up. Despite losing in the first rounds at Barcelona, Madrid and Rome, he has shown his true colors at Lyon where he reached the semi finals.
