American Tennis player Madison Keys is seeded twenty third at this year’s French Open. The twenty six year old Keys has five titles on the tour so far, the last of which came in 2019.

Her performance on clay this year has been very poor. She has won just one match out of a possible five, spread across four tournaments. She lost in the first match of the Charleston Open to Sloane Stephens. She repeated the feat at Madrid where was ousted in the first round by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. to Her last match was against Iga Swiatek in the Italian, Keys lost that match in straight sets 5-7 1-6. Her first round opponent is Océane Dodin. 

French woman Dodin is a wild card at this year’s French Open. The twenty four year old has one title on tour so far, she won it back in 2016 at Quebec. Recently, Dodin reached the round of sixteen of the Serbia Open, and followed that with an appearance in the main draw of Strasbourg, where she lost to Barbora Krejčíková.

Dodin though doesn’t play her best tennis on clay. Last year she was ousted in the first round by Petra Kvitova, but will hope to go farther this year.
