Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will reignite their rivalry at French Open 2021, as the two greats of the game lock horns for a 58th time in their careers. Rafael Nadal has a magnificent record in the semifinals of French Open, as he won all 13 of his matches in the last four. The duo clashed against each other in the finals of Roland Garros last year, where Nadal won in straight sets.
Novak Djokovic defeated Matteo Berrettini in four sets in the quarterfinals. The Serbian was cruising to a straight sets victory, before he lost focus in the third set tiebreaker. However, he made a decent recovery and secured a comfortable victory.
Rafael Nadal was given a tough fight by the Argentine, Diego Schwartzman in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. The Spaniard’s 35 set unbeaten streak was put to an end once more by the Argentine. However, the third seed showed his true class, and bageled the ninth seed in the fourth set to seal the match.

Rafael Nadal is riding on high confidence at the moment, and has dropped just one set in the tournament so far. The Spaniard has defeated the likes of Jannik Sinner and Cameron Norrie in straight sets. He has already scored three bagels over his opponents so far. The third seed is chasing his 14th title in Paris, and 21st Grandslam title.
Novak Djokovic is chasing his second French Open title this year, and will hope to avenge his loss from the finals in Paris last year. The Serbian has been tested by his opponents in the last two rounds, as he was forced into a fifth set by the Italian, Lorenzo Musetti. Matteo Berrettini took a set off Djokovic in the quarterfinals, however, the Serbian has been in good touch at French Open 2021.
Rafael Nadal is the favorite to win the semifinals and book a place in the finals. The Spaniard has always had the edge over Djokovic at French Open, and has beaten him in each of their last five clay court matches. However, the Serbian is expected to put up a stellar display, and give it his best shot this time around.
