Srdjan Djokovic applauds judge’s decision, believes justice has been served
Srdjan Djokovic speculated that games have been played against his son in the last four or five days. However, it is now time for Novak Djokovic to come back onto the court and play the game he is really best at. Srdjan stated that the Australian authorities tried to persuade him to accept the Visa cancellation decision, but Novak stood firm against all odds.
“The fact that he comes from a small, impoverished country is not something that big powerful people liked. I think this game with his appearance has come to its culmination. I think the last game has now been played and they need to come up with a different game now, and he will be the best in the world again,” he said.
“The game that has been played over the last five or six games has been incredibly difficult for him and his family. He was met at the airport and not given any rights, he had no rights, they took away all his rights, the rights that he has as a human being,” Srdjan added.
Srdjan Djokovic also took some time to applaud the judge for putting out a fair decision and setting the right precedent. “The judge was fantastic. He simply respected the facts and he took the only possible decision : let Novak do his job,” he continued.
It looks increasingly likely that Novak Djokovic is more or less confirmed to compete at the Australian Open 2022. The Serbian will aim for a record 10th title in Melbourne and a 21st major overall.
