Hubert Hurkacz lays down THIS massive ambition for the 2022 season

Hubert Hurkacz is a Polish professional tennis player. His current ranking according to the ATP is World No.11 although his highest ranking was World No.9. He has four singles career titles to his name.

The Polish star had an extremely disappointing Australian Open campaign, being ousted by the giant killer Adrian Mannarino. He then reached the semi-finals of the Dubai Tennis Championship, losing to Andrey Rublev.

In a recent interview, Hubert Hurkacz discussed a wide range of topics. His goal for the 2022 season. Currently 11th in the world, he is aiming for the top five places in the ATP rankings taken this moment by Daniil Medvedev, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas respectively. Suffice to say that the task promises to be difficult.

He revealed that he wanted to crack the top 5 of the world rankings, and it would be great if he could do that. He also reflected upon a couple of things that need to be done and worked upon to achieve that target.

“It would be really good to be in the top 5. It would even be great. I just need to improve two or three things and learn others to be able to get there and try to do my best week after week,” added Hurkacz.

Hurkacz recently shared his views on the matter going on in Russia. Hubert expressed his concern over the saddening situation, wanting peace to prevail and both the nation to hold diplomatic talks and conclude the matter peacefully. He also extended his wishes towards the families and common people affected by the war.

Hubert will be next seen in action at the upcoming 2022 Indian Wells Masters followed by the 2022 Miami Masters where he will be defending his title won in Miami last year where he defeated Jannik Sinner in the finals, his biggest title so far in his career.
