Lewis Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the greatest names in the history of Formula 1. The 7-time world champion is one of the most successful drives, alongside legendary names such as Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Niki Lauda. The Briton enjoyed a terrific rivalry against Ferrari with his beloved Mercedes.

The 37 year old is also one of the most influential sportsperson of his country the United Kingdom, being honoured with an MBE, which is one of the top individual honours conferred by the queen. The Briton started his career with the F1 team McLaren, before switching to Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton had lost the title race last season to Red Bull’s Max Verstappen by the skin of his teeth under extremely controversial circumstances. Post the deciding race in Abu Dhabi, which was criticized by some quarters of the racing fraternity, Hamilton had gone into a hiatus on his social media, being inactive since then.

However, the racing legend recently returned on social media with an ominous caption “I’ve been gone. Now I’m back!”. The comeback was celebrated by multiple people, among which was a certain Serena Williams.

The Williams family is known to have a great relationship with Lewis Hamilton, with Serena Williams being one of his best friends and her husband Alexis Ohanian being a die-hard fan of the Mercedes veteran.

Following Lewis Hamilton’s post, Serena showed her delight on his return to social media, expressing her love and support for the Brit. It is not the first time that the pair have given a glimpse of the great comraderie they share, with the fact being well documented.

“I love you brother very much,”– replied Serena to Hamilton’s tweet. The tweet went absolutely viral, receiving 412k likes and over 53k retweets.

Serena’s husband Alexis Ohanian too is a massive fan of Hamilton, and had come to his support by taking a dig at FIA, the governing body for racing, after Hamilton’s controversial loss at Abu Dhabi last year.
