Iga Swiatek has made a name for herself in the world of tennis in a relatively short period of time. She took the world by surprise after she managed to win the 2020 French Open title, the first-ever Polish national to do so. She carried her incredible run of form in 2021.
Her incredible WTA 1000 win in Rome this year was a testimony to the fact that she is the next big thing in tennis. The 20-year-old bageled Karolina Pliskova in both sets of the tournament final which is enough to prove how astonishingly good she is.

The Polish tennis star finished the year as World No. 9 which is another gigantic achievement for the young talent. She last featured in the WTA Finals where she couldn’t progress any further than the Group Stage. Nevertheless, she can be proud of the overall season she has had this time around.
Moreover, Iga is ruling the world of fashion as well. After Vogue, Swiatek is now the Covergirl for Elle Poland’s January issue. The magazine released Swiatek’s cover photos on Facebook and Instagram and showered praises on the young achiever.
“She is twenty years old and is one of the world’s top tennis players,” ELLE Poland wrote on Instagram. “She is the only Pole who won the Grand Slam tournament at Roland Garros courts and is in the top ten of the WTA ranking. But Iga Świątek, the cover star of the January issue of ELLE, is more than a sportswoman, which she proves even in our session,” they further wrote.
In the cover photo, ever so elegant Swiatek can be seen wearing a two-piece noir ensemble. Without a doubt, Swiatek has been absolutely sensational in the 2021 season and she will look to add more feathers to her cap in the upcoming season.
