Indian Wells 2022 first seed Daniil Medvedev recently broke an 18-year old streak of the first rank holder, which was either taken by Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, or Murray. Gaël Monfils, the 11-time ATP titleholder, had tremendously started the year by winning his first tournament in 2022, the Adelaide International 1. He knocked out Karen Khachanov in the finals, claiming his first title of the year.
