Ever since his retirement, Andy Roddick has been one of the most sought pundits for his expert opinions. The former World No. 1 and 2003 US Open champion, Roddick continues to remain the latest Grand Slam men’s champion from North America. Having ranked in the top-10 at the year-end rankings for nine consecutive years, Roddick has been called modern American tennis great.

With the WTA season having ended, the ATP Tour is in its final stages as the ATP Finals 2021 will finish this week that will conclude this year’s season. Former champions at the ATP Finals, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev have already qualified for the semi-finals.

Djokovic started the season with 17 Grand Slam titles and came very close to finishing the season with 21 titles had it not been for Medvedev who beat Djokovic in straight-sets in the finals of the 2021 US Open. With his Masters title in Paris, he is also now the man with the most Masters title and can match Roger Federer‘s tally of 6 ATP Finals titles if he wins in Turin this year.

With the ever-going GOAT debate again getting attention given Djokovic’s heroics this season, Roddick said, “I’ll say it very clearly if Novak Djokovic ends his career with the most Grand Slams titles of all time it is a statistical impossibility to argue against him being the greatest based on numbers.”
