‘The Immortal Wolf’: Wife Jelena congratulates Djokovic for winning Paris Masters in her own style, Djokovic replies
Novak Djokovic and family
Novak Djokovic is an absolute superstar of the game. Regarded as one of the greatest tennis stars of all time, Djokovic recently scripted a magnificent win against Daniil Medvedev in the finals of the Paris Masters. The Serbian won the tournament for a record 6th time.
However, Djokovic, who was defeated in the 2021 US Open finals by Medvedev started off poorly in the Paris Masters Finale as well. The World No. 1 tennis star had dropped the first set and it felt like Medvedev is going to script another magnificent win. However, Djokovic came into his own just at the right time.
“How to keep up with this Wolf”: Jelena Djokovic on Novak
Djokovic ended up winning the contest and also scripted a few records. The legend of the game surpassed ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal when it comes to winning the highest ATP 1000 titles. Djokovic now has 37 ATP 1000 titles, one more than the southpaw from Spain.
Moreover, Djokovic also broke Pete Sampras’ record by clinching year-end No. 1 for the record 7th time. Congratulating the superstar on the grand achievement, his wife Jelena Djokovic posted a heartfelt message on Twitter calling him a ‘wolf’ who is getting younger and better day by day.
Fans started showering love on Djokovic as soon as Jelena posted the amazing message for his beloved. Djokovic also replied to Jelena’s post and thanked her for the lovely wishes. “Thank you my love,” Djokovic wrote while resharing Jelena’s post.
Djokovic was extremely disappointed when he missed out on his 21st Grand Slam title win at the 2021 US Open final. However, the way he has played at the Paris Masters, it would be fair to say that the Serbian is not very far away from going past Nadal and Federer in terms of Grand Slam title wins.
