Aslan Karatsev’s year keeps on improving as the Russian makes it to the 3rd round of the US Open in his debut main-draw appearance. Karatsev defeated Jaume Munar in the 1st round in 4-sets and came down from 2-sets down to win a 5-set thriller against Jordan Thompson in the 2nd round winning the match 3-6, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6(9), 6-1 in 4 hours and 40 minutes.

Jenson Brooksby continues to impress as he reaches the 3rd round of the US Open for the very first time. After a 4-set win over Mikael Ymer in the 1st round, Brooksby defeated compatriot Taylor Fritz 6-7(7), 7-6(10), 7-5, 6-2 in 4 hours and 6 minutes to advance into the 3rd round of the Grand Slam, his best Grand Slam result so far.
