Runner-up at the 2019 Indian Wells, Angelique Kerber is all set to begin her 11th campaign at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. The 33-year old German had a bye in the first round given her seeding. Katerina Siniakova picks up her fourth 2nd round win at the Indian Wells as she defeats Kim Clijsters 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 in the first round this year. Siniakova is making her 6th appearance in the desert and is yet to go past the 3rd round, having reached the stage only once, in 2017. Siniakova also comes from a 1st round defeat at the Ostrava Open.
