US Open 2021: Barbora Krejcikova vs Garbine Muguruza LIVE stream: When, Where, and How to Watch

After winning the 2021 French Open a few months ago, Barbora Krejcikova has earned the respect of fellow WTA players. The Czech player has also shown great promise on the hard courts this season. She comes into the 2021 US Open having spent adequate time on the hard courts. After winning the tournament in Prague, Krejcikova also made the quarterfinals of the Western and Southern Open.

At this year’s US Open, she has made light work of her previous three opponents. The 25-year-old is yet to play a tie-break in New York this season, as she beat Astra Sharma, Kristina Mchale and Kamilla Rakhimova in the first three rounds.

Krejcikova is making her fourth round debut at the US Open and although she will have to overcome the challenge of a two-time Grand Slam champion, it would be a folly to rule out her chances.

On the other hand, Garbine Muguruza comes into this round after beating Viktoria Azarenka in three gripping sets. Therefore, one would expect the Spaniard to be ready for another slugfest from the baseline. She also beat Donna Vekic and Andrea Petkovic in the earlier rounds.

Although the two-time Grand Slam champion has made a few finals of the hard court tournaments this year, she has only won one title. That said, expect Muguruza who has always been a threat at the Majors to make life tough for her opponents going forward in New York.

Interestingly, both players recently locked horns at the Southern and Western Open, where the Czech player came out on top. However, their head-to-head is locked at 1-1.
