Lacoste and Novak Djokovic extend their partnership till 2025

Novak Djokovic, world number one ranked tennis player has been out of action ever since the Tokyo Olympics. The Serbian narrowly missed out on a medal at Tokyo Olympics, after he lost his bronze medal playoff to Pablo Carreno Busta.

However, the Serb has already arrived at the Flushing Meadows in order to compete at US Open 2021. The 24-year-old will be chasing his 21st major, and fourth of the year. Recently, Lacoste, a global clothing company announced that it has extended its partnership with Novak Djokovic for four more years till 2025.

Lacoste and Novak Djokovic have been associated with each other since 2017, and according to the French brand, their common values and goals have led to the extension of the partnership.

Lacoste is a French company founded in 1993 by by tennis players René Lacoste and André Gillier. It made its announcement of extending their partnership with Novak Djokovic on Twitter.

Teammates since 2017, Lacoste and Novak Djokovic are proud to announce their partnership has been extended until 2025. The exceptional athlete and men’s tennis world #1 shares common values with the French Crocodile: audacity, commitment and elegance,” the tweet read.

Novak Djokovic is probably having his best year on tour so far, having picked up three consecutive Grandslam titles. At French Open 2021, he did the unthinkable, defeating Rafael Nadal in the semifinals in four sets. He followed it up with a victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the finals. At Wimbledon 2021, he breezed past the Italian, Matteo Berrettini in four sets to claim his 20th major title. It will be interesting to see whether the Serbian can turn up at the US Open this year.
