Petra Martic’s struggle on Hardcourts have been quite visible in the past few months and the Croatian is desperate for a good run. She last played at the 2021 Indian Wells, the last WTA-1000 tournament for the season and was defeated in the 2nd round by Polish youngster Iga Swiatek.
