Daniil Medvedev vs Jan-Lennard Struff : Preview
Daniil Medvedev will be making his tournament debut this year at the Halle Open in Germany. The Russian like many others will be back on Grass for the first time since the 2019 Grass season where he last played in the 2019 Wimbledon losing out in the 3rd round.
The top-seed will come into the tournament with confidence after a great run at the French Open 2021 where he reached the quarter-finals for the first time after having lost in the first round for 4 successive years before this year’s French Open.
Jan-Lennard Struff will enter the Halle Open 2021 for the 11th time this year and will be looking to go past the 2nd round. But with his match against the World No. 2, it will be difficult for the German to break his streak of early exits at the tournament.
Struff, similar to Medvedev will come to the tournament from the French Open 2021 where he lost in the Round of 16, reaching the 4th round for the 2nd time in his career at the Grand Slam in Roland Garros.
