The Indian duo defeated Ramkumar Ramanathan and Ankita Raina in their first-round encounter in straight sets. Although Ramkumar and Ankita stretched Sania and Bopanna in the second set, the experienced duo kept their cool under pressure and eventually emerged victoriously.
