In potentially the final match for the year, teen sensation and 2021 US Open champion Emma Raducanu will take on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics singles gold medallist Belinda Bencic at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship 2021, the 3-day exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi.
This will be the 2nd meeting between the duo who met for the first time in the quarter-finals of the 2021 US Open where Emma went on to claim the title against the odds. Apart from their respective win at the Slam and Olympics, the duo has not enjoyed life on the Tour, more so by Emma who faced early exits as well whereas Belinda has not made a final since she made it in Berlin in June.

As for Belinda, she was one of the underdog going at the Olympics but a thrilling fight put by her where she won 4 of her 6 matches in 3-sets including the finals. Post her win in Tokyo, she reached 4 consecutive quarter-finals but was unable to go past the last-8.
