Hugo Gaston
Hugo Gaston

Lorenzo Musetti comes into his second match on the back of a defeat against Argentina’s Sebastian Baez losing the match 1-4, 1-4, 4-3(5), 3-4(5). Musetti’s form has seen a dip in the 2nd half of the season and the Italian will look to bounce back strongly in hopes of finishing in the top-2 of his group. He last played at the 2021 Paris Masters losing in the 2nd round after having entered the main-draw as a lucky loser.

Hugo Gaston had a similar fate in his first match against Sebastian Korda but unlike Musetti, the match went down the wire. Gaston initially took a 2-0 set lead but Korda staged an epic comeback to win the match 3-4(2), 3-4(6), 4-0, 4-3(3), 4-0. Gaston was the last to qualify for the Finals after his quarter-final run at the Paris Masters having entered the main-draw as a qualifier.
