‘Naomi, you s**k’ Heckler leaves Naomi Osaka in tears in a shocking incident at Indian Wells

Naomi Osaka
Naomi Osaka is definitely one of the most sensitive players on the women’s tour. Apart from her fierce tennis personality, she has a very soft nature which is evident time and again. She puts her mental health above anything else and calls out people who hamper her space.
This side of her was evident right from the very start of her career. During the 2018 US Open Final, she broke down in tears when the crowd booed the chair umpire for not treating Serena Williams well. She later revealed that the incident to date has had a huge impact on her. Last year, she withdrew from the French Open mid-tournament citing mental health when the tournament didn’t accept her decision to skip the press conferences.
She had to take a long break to get in the right frame of mind before eventually returning to the court. And Naomi was once again aiming for a strong comeback this week in Indian Wells after a poor outing at the Australian Open.
But during her second-round match against Veronika Kudermetova, Naomi Osaka faced a rather strange situation. Down 0-3 in the first set, a woman in the audience shouted, “Naomi, you suck!!” On hearing that, Naomi was completely rattled and straight away went to the chair umpire to complain about that. But during the changeover, she couldn’t control herself and broke down in tears. After a short break, she wiped her tears but looked completely clueless. She was eventually bageled in the opening set.
Twitter comes in support of Naomi Osaka

Social Media erupted after the incident as fans came out in support of Naomi and demanded that the spectator should be thrown out of the stadium.
In the second set of the match, Osaka looked a bit composed but still was overpowered by Kudermetova from the baseline. The Japanese defended for her life but still wasn’t able to hold serve. Kudermetova eventually won the set 6-4 to knock the 4-time grand slam champion out of Indian Wells.
