The 2024 Indian Wells Open is finally upon the tennis fans. The event will see the first ATP-1000 tournament of the season being played out. As for the WTA Tour, it will be the third WTA-1000 event of the season.

The event will celebrate its 50th edition on the ATP Tour this year. For the women, it will be the 35th edition of the tournament often dubbed as the ‘fifth Grand Slam’. The 2024 edition will be held from 6th March to 17th March. The qualifiers will commence on 3rd March.

The tournament has continued with its association with Tennis Channel (TC) for streaming the event. TC is the exclusive broadcaster for the tournament in the USA. As per the official numbers, TC will bring more than 110 total hours of live action.

The number goes significantly up to more than 150 when encore replay hours are also considered. To cater to the popularity of the ‘Tennis Channel Live at the BNP Paribas Open’, an on-site studio will also be present at the event. This will feature match winners for short interviews and analysis by the TC team.

A star-studded line-up of commentators confirmed for the 2024 Indian Wells Open

With Tennis Channel retaining the exclusive broadcasting rights in the USA, they are leaving no stone unturned in bringing the biggest names as commentators. The long list of commentators includes tennis legends, former champions, and reputed analysts.

Among these, Davenport and Navratilova are the joint-most successful winners of the event with two titles each. The former also won six doubles titles, the second most in the history of the tournament. Rubin and Vandeweghe have also been doubles champions at the event.

Coming to the men, in singles, Courier is the only champion although Isner did make it to the finals. But he lost to Roger Federer. The Swiss is currently tied with Novak Djokovic for most titles at the Masters event with 5 each. Isner however won two doubles titles at the event before his retirement.
