Some exciting matches to look out for:

Iga Swiatek vs Caroline Wozniacki

In a battle of the former champs, Caroline Wozniacki will take on the World No. 1 Swiatek. The Dane won the title back in 2011 while having two runners-up trophies from 2010 and 2013. To put things in context, the Pole was just 10 years old when Wozniacki won the Indian Wells title.

While Swiatek is yet to drop a set this week, the former Australian Open winner has dropped a set just once. The Pole looks the clear favorite for the tie but she would still need to put in a big shift as the 33-year-old will surely not be a pushover.

Prediction: Swiatek in 2.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexander Zverev

In a rematch of the 2024 Australian Open quarter-finals, defending champ Alcaraz will take on Alexander Zverev. The German has shown some great form this week. He currently has a 5-3 lead in their head-to-head. Alcaraz played cautiously in his campaign opener as he was returning from his injury.

But since then, he has been back to his true form. The sixth seed is chasing his first-ever semis qualification at Indian Wells. Alcaraz is hoping to become the first man to defend the Indian Wells title since Novak Djokovic won three consecutive titles from 2014 to 2016.

Prediction: Alcaraz in 3.

Coco Gauff vs Yue Yuan

Third-seeded Coco Gauff continues her exceptional form on hard courts. She is back in the quarter-finals after making a similar run in 2023. The semi-final eluded her last year but this time it’s a good chance for her. She will take on World No. 49 Yue Yuan, one of the surprise quarter-finalists this year.

The Chinese player has spent more than eight hours on the court in her four wins this week. She is making her main-draw debut in Indian Wells this year. Having won the title in Austin before Indian Wells, she has made good use of her form and will hope to topple the World No. 3.

Prediction: Gauff in 3.

Daniil Medvedev vs Holger Rune

Last year’s runner-up Daniil Medvedev looks on course to repeat his run as he reaches the quarter-finals. He dispatched Bulgarian hunk Grigor Dimitrov in straight-sets to reach the last-8. As for Holger Rune, he had to save a match point against local lad Fritz before staging a brilliant comeback.

The Dane reaches his first-ever quarter-final at the tennis paradise. With their head-to-head locked in at 1-1 with the matches played on clay, the two are sure to leave everything out on the court.

Prediction: Medvedev in 3.
