The ATP tour has moved on from the heat of the USA to the sandy courts in Estoril. Many players love it in clay, one of them being Hubert Hurkacz, who has been nothing short of perfection at the ongoing Estoril Open. 

The Pole has had a marvelous run so far, as he makes his spot in the semi-finals. On Friday, the Pole was caught up in an interview via the Estoril Open News, where he spoke about his time on the court. Delighted with his performance, Hurkacz revealed to feeling good on the clay courts, as he gears up to play the semi-finals and hopes to advance in the finals.

Moreover, the reporter also asked the Pole if he would be taking any tips from his compatriot Iga Swiatek. The WTA No.1 has an exceptional record on clay and is one of the strongest people on the surface, and it would be only appropriate to share some secrets with her compatriot. Hurkacz also laughingly agreed with the reporter and said that he would call or text Swiatek.

Hubert Hurkacz enters his first tour-level clay-court semi-finals

Polish ace Hubert Hurkacz continued his dream run on the clay courts of Portugal as he made it to the semi-finals of the Estoril Open. He played his two matches with absolute perfection to clean the opponents up in straight sets.

Hurkacz, the second seed, will now play his first tour-level clay-court semi-final after defeating Spaniard Pablo Llamas Ruiz with a score of 7-6(4), 6-4. Despite facing eight break points, Hurkacz saved them all to advance in one hour and 46 minutes. This victory marks Hurkacz’s 20th tour-level semi-final appearance.

Now, he is up against Cristian Garin, who is just off one of the most controversial matches. With the spot in the finals online, both the players will hope to give it their all.
