Casper Ruud has delivered several head-turning results on the ATP Tour and further scripted history after becoming the highest-ranked Norwegian in the sport.

However, Ruud has often been called out for racking points in the rankings chart by consistently winning the lowest tier of men’s professional singles events, the ATP 250, a notorious fact which was recently playfully taunted by Alexander Bublik and left Benoit Paire cracking.

Most recently, Casper Ruud was amusingly teased by fellow tennis player Alexander Bulbik for the unusual amount of ATP 250 titles won by the 25-year-old.

During a conversation at the 2023 Ultimate Tennis Showdown, the trio of Ruud, Bublik, and Paire were witnessed having a chat during which the Kazakhstani brought up the subject, leaving Frenchman Paire laughing.

The 26-year-old Kazakhstani addressed how Ruud was just one victory away from claiming the World No. 1 spot in 2022, hilariously mentioning that the three-time Grand Slam finalist clinched 11 ATP 250 trophies that year.

That year you won how many, 11 ATP 250s?
Alexander Bublik said

It is worth noting that the Norwegian is often criticized for earning points via ATP 250 clay-court events before the onset of the French Open. Furthermore, Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios also took a potshot at the 25-year-old for “stealing points” and winning easy tournaments to enhance his ranking.

Casper Ruud opens up about the challenges of being subjected to random drug tests

Norwegian tennis icon Casper Ruud recently provided his insight on the drawbacks of random drug testing on the tour in an interview with Barbara Schett on Eurosport.

He also empathized with Jenson Brooksby, who was slapped with an 18-month ban after failing to report his whereabouts to the authorities.

I think the punishment is too long. 18 months is you lose almost in a way like three years of your career because 18 months is a year and a half and then it'll take you about a year maybe more to kind of obviously he's good enough to come back to the Top 100. He's a good enough player but you're not just gonna win every tournament you come back.
Casper Ruud told Barbara Schett on Eurosport.

Jenson Brooksby became a hot topic after the anti-doping committee banned the American for not disclosing his location for random testing, a mandate that has been frequently debated by the tennis world.
