Being one of the most consistent players in the world, Alexander Zverev reached the only Grand Slam final of his career at the US Open in 2020. He also had a good run at last year’s US Open as he reached the semi-finals of the tournament but was unfortunately eliminated by the Serbian World No.7, Novak Djokovic.

After suffering the ankle injury, Alexander Zverev missed out on participating in all the tournaments for the rest of the season, including both the Grand Slams – Wimbledon and the US Open.

Zverev moved into the Top-3 rankings for the first time way back in 2017. And the injury happened when he was at his career-best ranking of 2. He was on the fast track to changing his reputation of being a bad player in the best of 5 sets in the last two years. After losing to Thiem in the US Open final in 2020, He made two consecutive French Open Semi-final appearances in 2021 and 2022. 2021 was also the year when he performed his best in Wimbledon by reaching the fourth round.

The ATP Tour Final titles in 2018 and 2021 are the best examples of his remarkable talent on the court and if he can come back with an improved mentality in the next season, the German force will be hard to deal with for the rest of the tour.
