“How about you stop abusing women” – Alexander Zverev’s pending domestic abuse case sees fans lash out on ATP for taking no action
Zverev has been accused of domestic violence by two of his ex-girlfriends so far.

The official handle of the ATP Tour recently posted a tweet on their social media profile with German player Alexander Zverev as the face of the tweet. This received wide backlash from tennis fans all over due to the pending domestic violence charges against the World No.7.
Zverev has been facing charges of domestic abuse for a long time. His ex-girlfriend, Brenda Patea, who is also the mother of his child, has accused him of causing physical assaults on her. She currently has full custody of their child as well.
A penalty order was also issued against Zverev in response to such grave accusations. However, nothing has been done against the German and the ATP also remains silent on this matter. Tennis fans all over have heavily criticized the ATP for not taking any kind of action against the World No. 7 and for remaining mum on this matter.
Recently, a tweet by the official handle of the ATP Tour also received some backlash from fans after a poster of Alexander Zverev was posted with a slogan for change. People reacted to remove the post down as the German was facing heavy accusations of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend and such kinds of messages was unethical for the ATP to put up on a platform so wide as the social media.

Alexander Zverev has been surrounded by a pool of controversies for a long time. His ex-girlfriend, Brenda Patea, is not the first to throw charges at him. His former girlfriend, Olga Sharypova, had also accused the German of domestic violence against her in the past. His struggle to manage his emotions on and off the court has come under the limelight due to such claims against the World No. 7.
