Ana Ivanovic who retired prematurely, at the age of 29 has shared a glimpse of her smashing forehands, her strongest weapon on the court. Ivanovic also wrote a cryptic caption that has fuelled the rumors about her comeback.

It’s more than just a sport.Ana Ivanovic wrote while sharing her pictures from the court.
Ana Ivanovic, who was known for her strong forehand shots made some leaps in her career as she made it to her first Grand Slam final in the 2007 French Open. Although she lost to Justine Henin, it was a start for something good. She had a breakthrough year in 2008 when she made it to the Australian Open finals while winning the French Open.
However, she could not win Grand Slam titles after that. Injuries then forced Ivanovic to hang her racket before time. In 2016 she decided to call it quits and has been absent from the count since then. However, with Ana Ivanovic sharing a clip of her practicing, fans might be hopeful of a comeback.
Can Ana Ivanovic do a Caroline Wozniacki or Serena Williams?
Mothers making a comeback on the tennis court is nothing new and if Ana Ivanovic wants to make a comeback, she has quite a few examples to look at. The first and foremost example is Serena Williams who made a comeback and played the Wimbledon finals despite being bedridden for six months after childbirth.
Caroline Wozniacki is another example who recently made a comeback. The Danish ace who is a mother to two returned to the court at the age of 33 and gave her younger opponents a run for their money. There is one more tennis mother in line to make a comeback- Naomi Osaka. The Japanese ace is expected to return on the tour in 2024.
Ana Ivanovic can definitely look up to these names and think of one last dance before she decides to look away from the sport and embark on a new journey altogether. The Serbian has shown that she possesses the ability to compete at the highest level and seeing her agility on clay, it would not be a bad idea for Ana Ivanovic to consider picking the racket again.
