On Valentine’s Day, many tennis players have shared their special messages for their partners and better halves. Prominent stars, such as Stefanos Tsitsipas and Taylor Fritz, took to Instagram to share their special messages for their respective partners. 

ATP, on the other hand, made a feature video of various ATP players in which players such as Andrey Rublev, Jannik Sinner, etc. named their best buddies from the ATP circuit whom they love and have a special bond with.

Interestingly enough, Rublev named Daniil Medvedev as the player he loves.

Referring to that tag of Godfather that World No. 3 gave him, Rublo said

The video ended on a hilarious note, with the World No. 5 realizing his mistake and couldn’t help but laugh.

Both Rublev and Medvedev have been the best of friends, despite being rivals on the court. In2023,3 Medvedev named Rublev as the godfather of his daughter Alisa. When asked about the reason behind this, the 2021 US Open winner said: 

He’s religious, so that’s important to be a godfather. So, it was kind of an easy decision.
