British pro Andy Murray cringed as he revisited an old video of him kissing his wife after his first ATP title win at the SAP Open in 2006.
Back in 2006, Murray just entered the ATP and got off to a better start. At the age of 18, the former World No. 1 had downed the legendary Andy Roddick in the US to set up his first ATP final clash against another great player. Murray was up against Lleyton Hewitt for the SAP title in San Jose.

A major upset was churning in the US, as Murray was in good form against Hewitt, and just like that, the Brit hit a winner to bag his first title.
Overjoyed by the win, Murray ran to his playbox and awkwardly kissed his then-girlfriend Kim Sears. This video was posted on Instagram as a celebratory post to when Murray won his first title 18 years ago today. On viewing this, the 36-year-old cringed hard as he penned down an apology note for his wife.
Huge apologies to my now wife for whatever I was doing to her mouth there…If I was on the receiving end of that I would have dumped me on the spot.Commented Murray on his Instagram.
Well, it was a hilarious yet true comment, as the Brit can be seen making a fool of himself in the video. However, his then-girlfriend tied the knot with him a few years later in 2014, and since then, the two have welcomed three daughters and a son to their family.
Andy Murray continues to search for some form as he gears up for another try at the Qatar Open
Andy Murray, part of the “Big 4,” was once a deadly player who put even the greats under the pump. Exactly 18 years ago, the Brit won his first-ever title before winning multiple more, and he is still on the hunt for more.

Murray, now 36 years old, is still good with the shots but unfortunately lacks some form. The prime Murray has disappeared, and the Brit, once a World No. 1, is struggling to pass the first round of the tournament. Since the end of October, the 36-year-old has not been able to bag any titles. He hasn’t won a single match in five tournaments and is desperately in need of a win.
Murray gears up for his first-round match at the Qatar Open as he looks to break the curse and get some form before the important tournaments. The 3-time Grand Slam champion plays Alexandre Muller on the center court in Qatar, as the win is around the corner for Murray.
