Recently Rafael Nadal got a rib injury in his match against Carlos Alcaraz at the Indian wells semifinals. Iga Swiatek had to withdraw from the Madrid Open due to her shoulder injury. Roger Federer and Serena Williams are also waiting to make a comeback and have been out from injury for a very long time. These are uncertain times in tennis currently and Simona Halep feels that the reason for such inconsistency is anxiety and stress amongst players.

Simona said after her opening-round win: “The world isn’t stable, I have that feeling. So it’s not easy to handle it and anxiety can bring you down sometimes: that’s why probably us players are struggling. We can’t be so consistent anymore and also the injuries, I think they’re coming from the stress”
