During the press conference at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship, Sabalenka was asked how her Australian Open title defense felt.

It's been an amazing time. I was super excited. We celebrate my win - our win. Yeah, we had so much fun. Yeah, I'm still emotional about that. I think it's the best thing you can ever, ever get. But, as I say, it's already in the past and I need to focus on the next one.

She further added:

I'm still shocked I was able to win back to back Australian Open. It's a dream. Yeah, I couldn't even dream about that, so… That's what I mean.

With two major titles in the bag, Sabalenka would be hoping to add more this year. She reached the finals of the US Open last year. Perhaps she would be hoping to get past that stage come September.
